Clapping of hands in Celestial Church of Christ shouldn’t be a subject for argument as it is clearly not part of our doctrine. But then, some of our Celestial Church brethren have come up with a good ideology on why we shouldn’t clap our hands, on the other hand, there’s an argument against it.
EXPLANATION GIVEN AGAINST CLAPPING OF HANDS IN CCC
Celestial Church people don’t clap during service because we worship in the highest realm.
Clapping is spiritually for the least realm hence the reason some denominations need clapping to call upon the spirit of God.
Celestial Church is the highest realm of the spirit and as such we move to the seventh heaven when we call the three names at the entrance of the church.
Our procession into the house of God simplifies the accessing of the heavens until the conductor reaches the main altar which symbolises the seventh heaven (the throne of Abba).
We have people who argue this, but it is unarguable because it is a spiritual truth. Take it to the Holy spirit and He will explain to you.
Spiritual truth is highly not debatable, hence we don’t argue it but tell people to ask the spirit of truth to testify to it.
OBJECTION TO THE EXPLANATION GIVEN
The essence of clapping in other denominations is not to bring down the spirit sir, the claps are just to add to the beat, if you happen to have attended a Pentecostal church once, you will discover for yourself that for anyone that doesn’t have anything at hand to play like cleft, cymbals etc.. they clap their hands.
Their general belief is that it’s good to praise God with instruments just like King David, anyone that doesn’t have one claps his/her hands.
#CNO’s TAKE ON THIS
There is virtually no Celestial Church without instrument of praise and worship, no matter how small the parish is, hence there is no need for clapping of hands.
