Separating The Word Of God From Doctrine: This Is What You Get!

November 22, 2017 / Deborah Solaja / On The Spot / 5 Comments »

Doctrine means a belief or tenet about philosophical or theological matters. It is the body of teaching of a religion or religious leader. When such religion is not based on God and His will, people wander into the dark.

Doctrine without God leads to idolatry. Doctrine is beautiful when it makes or draws you closer to God; but when it doesn’t, it leaves you vulnerable to the devil. That is why doctrine without God and His words will only develop religious leaders and not pure Christians. People can fake holiness, fake many things and do many dirty things in the dark.

The only way to know God, worship Him and be acquainted with Him is by His words. So when you separate words of God from doctrine , what you get is –

Men of God (by their claims) who still condone s.exual immorality

Men of God who steal from the church.

A worldly church controlled by Satan.

A congregation who lust after the things of the flesh

A worldly choir who sings praise-name instead of God’s.

A generation without God

Unfaithful wives and husbands

Men and women with anger issues

Lovers of money (mammon) and its worshippers

Church politics, groups with different agendas and people with eye-service techniques

Gossipers, fighters and malice keepers.

Are you a part of these groups? Do you allow some of them in your life? Think about it. Without God and His words, your doctrine is useless. If you think I tell you a lie, then check out the lifestyles of the Pharisees and Sadducee. They gave doctrine regard and respect more than God.

That was why Jesus said – Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Let God and His words be at the centre of your life, home, family and ministry.

May His grace be sufficient for us in Jesus’ name. Amen

Bravo; I like this. Maybe we can email it to all church secretaries to read it out loud to the church.
