Baba AraHow time flies! So, it’s already 12 years that the talented artiste, Olubukola Roland Olomola popularly called Baba Ara bid this world goodbye. It’s actually a true saying that ‘the man in the coffin is a forgotten man’, no one seems to remember the 12th year anniversary of his demise yet we have 100s of people reaping from his legacy without paying royalty of any kind to his family.

Well, one of the die-hard followers of the music icon in the gospel genre before he died, Gbenga Kehinde Oyeleye has put up courage to post a word as tribute to Baba Ara.

“12 years ago you left this wicked world but the legacy you left did not perish. Kudos to all alara followers, either you are Ajidara, Aya Ara, Afin Ara, Arole Ara, Omo Ara, Tope Ara, and so on, this is the best time to show gratitude to the original Baba Ara himself. Happy Remembrance to a celestial music legend late H/S/Evang. Roland Olubukola Olomola. Long live Ara Music. Didun ni iranti olododo.”

Which of his songs would you consider as evergreen? Let’s share it together

All his songs are evergreen but I love his album titled ‘The word’ all the songs on that album are songs of deep reflection of the fact that everything in this world is vanity… Baba Ara was indeed an inspirational singer with his in depth knowledge of the scripture. Almost all his songs are scriptural based. He was a blessing to us. I miss him
