The truth is, we should as Celestial Church members appreciate what we have before it becomes what we had. This church needs our collective force to be able to weather this storm that has put us on hold for over three decades now.
As we are preparing for the 70th anniversary, we implore all hands to be on deck so as to prove to the world that, this church, truly, belongs to us all and that it’s God sent from heaven to the world to cleanse it.
One of the daughters of the late founder, Arewa Deborah Ogunniyi posted some historical photos of her late dad, reminding us of how he started out from nothing to something and how the church grew under an umbrella to a get global attention.
“70th Luli day loading….. May 23rd. Rev SBJOshoffa oko oso, oko aje, baba tejumomi, oludasile Kan soso ti ijo mimo…… omo Ojopola lowu egba ….the carpenter of noble birth that was chosen ….the rejected stone which became the corner piece .Some of these pictures reflect low beginning, humility, love, dedication and selfless service. From days of nothing to days of lack, from lack to little and from little to comforts and then the mustard seed became a great tree grown so wide and for 70years it has grown stronger. May the labour of our heroes not go in vain. We remain proud of you!!!!”
