At Celestial City Imeko last December, precisely on the 24th, 2016, #CNO an online news service provider presented awards of honour to 13 distinguished members of the church at the Arch Diocese Headquarters, Imeko Ogun State.
The glorious event which coincided with the youth programme under the leadership of Ayo Sobule and others was thumbed up by all who graced the event.
Most of the awardees who came personally to receive the honour gave kudos to the organisers of the event, CelestialNewsOnline.com for initiating such an idea. The purpose of hosting Celestial Champions awardees basically is because of their meritorious service within the fold and on social media. As active social media users, we celebrate Celestial Church members who are passionate about the advancement of the church, CCC, and the good works they have been doing within the vineyard, and for their humility and the pride with which they carry the torch of CCC wherever they go.
The second edition of this award which comes up in April, 2017 somewhere around Ikeja will be honouring another set of 12 deserving active members of the church drawn through online public opinion polls; these are worthy ambassadors who have unrelentingly continued to carry the emblem of Celestial Church of Christ.
We launched our effort in appreciating the good deeds of deserving members of our church last year at Makoko’s Adult Harvest, with the first and most prestigious honour on our platform, Meritorious Se rvice Awar
d bestowed on Pastor Emmanuel Friday Mobiyina. It was indeed an impressive gathering where the Spiritual Head of the largest white garment church in the world, in his acceptance speech, encouraged others to emulate the gesture. This propelled us at #CNO to annually celebrate the outstanding trail-blazing youths and adults of the church with Celestial Champions Award.
