Don’t Let People Talk You Out Of Doing What God Wants You To Do

Don’t seek human permission to carry out a divine assignment. No one was there when God called you. No one will understand the magnitude of the dreams that God has placed on your heart. No one understands the clarity of the vision that God painted on the canvas of your mind. No one will be there when God calls you to give an account.

If God’s command is clear, respond to it with a resounding, and immediate “here am I, Lord send me” without seeking permission from people. If David had sought permission from his brothers, he would not have fought Goliath. If Mary Magdalene had sought permission from the disciples, she would not have anointed Jesus. If Abraham had sought Sarah’s permission to sacrifice Isaac, he would not have obeyed God’s clear command.

If the woman with issue of blood had sought permission from the crowd, she would not have touched the hem of Jesus’s garment and got healed. Yes, there is a place for following procedure and protocol. Yes, there are instances when it is important to seek advice from Godly people around you but never feel obliged to seek human permission to follow a divine command. If the divine mandate is clear, obey it without delay. Don’t let a person talk you out of doing what God wants you to do. At the end of the day you are answerable to God and God alone.

Good one. I have learnt my lesson on this as well. God saw Eli but he decided to speak to the little Samuel.
