As youth we ought to know the God we are serving. The book of Jeremiah 9:24 reads thus – “Let him who boasts, boast about this: that He understands and knows that l am the Lord who exercise kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth, for in these l delight, declares the Lord.” God delights in the qualities of kindness, justice, and righteousness. He delights in those who understand and know God in that way and who are growing in their expression of those qualities because God is at work in them and through them. The world applauds strength, wealth, wisdom, and the pride of life. God applauds character that He has transformed into His image. Whose applause matters more to us as youth? Lord Jesus, l pray for your Spirit’s power and grace in our lives to cultivate kindness, justice and righteousness for your glory. It is good for everyone desire to grow in our knowledge of God and His pleasure in us.
