Many people still don’t know the reason or importance of why a cross is worn on the neck and waist of a child in CCC. Some feel it is a fashion or ordinary thread with a cross. Many people think it is a cross from the realm of darkness serving as identification for the child, but it is far from it.
The cross has much importance when worn permanently on a child’s neck. It is always recommended for pregnant women to wear it around their waist serving as protection for the mother and the unborn child. Wearing the cross has huge importance.
The cross is very powerful to the extent that God works through it, conquering the works of the enemy, granting victory and you can mention it on and on. No evil eyes would see such a child who has it on.
Let me tell you a short story. There was a spiritual message that every child should observe a day’s protection. And that they should have 7-cross on their neck even those who would not be around for the compulsory 1-day protection.
Right there in the church during the protection day, one of the children fell into well, deep one like that, pandamonium everywhere, by the time they got swimmers or those who dig well, almost 30 minutes had passed.
When the swimmers got in, they were shocked to see a young boy of about 7 years floating, the cross on him became a floater and they brought him out alive, with not even a scratch on his body.
Now let’s assume the mother was an unbelieving ‘Thomas’, what would have happened to the baby? God is always telling us that, this church is His and that we are a peculiar generation. Alleluia!
For the new generation of mothers who feel wearing the cross around their children’s necks is primitive, you are causing great harm to your ignorance. Let us endeavour to always hearken to what is expected of us to do.
