Hymn 773: Does It Make Any Meaning To You?

They say unity is strength when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved. So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth but now that we are divided, it simply means that we are just like a drop of water and not an ocean. Ocean is massive. This is why Omogbola Adewale penned down something about Hymns number 773. Ka Sowopo, Ka Sowopo Pelu Ife Mimo….

Let us unite, let us unite,

In holy tender love,

Let’s pray to GOD every moment,

And pay respect to our king and the Lord,

Washing one another’s clean hands, in holy love divine.

When the choristers sing CCC holy hymns 773 I always feel the Holy Spirit in our midst. But because there is no love between the shepherds, Prophets, sidemen and side-women, evangelists, the choristers, God’s workers  and the whole congregations, then it makes me feel sorry for us.

Since after the death of our father in the Lord (Papa OSHOFFA) Celestial church of Christ has become so harsh and to each other because nobody is displaying love as stated in the chorus of this HYMN 773.

The 1st stanza talks about unity and love. When we look into the Holy scripture, Philippians 2:1-3 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”

When we are not in love and one accord how do we think our prayers will be answered? We have to walk in divine love and unity, so that our prayer will be answered speedily.

The 2nd stanza advises us to forsake, eschew arrogance and pride, so that the church and we in the CCC can move forward in our physical and spiritual life to enable us to reach our destination.

The 3rd stanza tells us not to look down on ourselves and we should worship God in peace not in crisis as we have all been doing. May God help His church. Amen!!!
