Ketu/Jorotom Round Two: Court To Monitor CCC Spending, Case Adjourned Again

June 6, 2017 / Alonge Michael / Code Of Conduct / 6 Comments »

Despite the fact that there was a delay in opening the Court Room 9 on Monday 5th of June at the Federal High Court, Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos for the second hearing of the on-going saga between CCC, Ketu Faction and Sup. Evang. Omotosho Jorotom, a member of BOT, the session eventually started 10am and lasted for over two hours.

After several appearances, the chief judge, Hon. Justice Prof. Chuka Austine Obiozor said Celestial Church of Christ, Worldwide under the leadership of Rev. Pastor Mobiyina Oshoffa, should maintain a single account pending the time the case before him is finally resolved and should not by any mean operate another account to solicit fund except through the solitary account of the church.

The house which was filled to the brim had a few members of the BOT around unlike the first appearance. According to #CNO’s representative in the court room, Ketu authority was given the right to collect money on behalf of the church but should always bring photocopies of the tellers to the court for verification or any money withdraw or cashed by them should have the copies presented to the court.

From the look of things, the highly compassionate Justice Obiozor wants the case settled amicably between the warring parties and wish the people could discontinue but he has an obligation to perform and it’s his statutory right to bring any case to a logical conclusion without prejudice.

Whilst awaiting the Order from the court, the case has been adjoined to 27th & 28th of September, 2017 respectively.

I hope the case Will be settled amicably, but nobody should see d case as witch hunting.there must be a certain level of accountability in celestial spending, we have a lot of bad eggs surrounding the pastor, there plan is to steal Cele money through some illegal means without the consent of our pastor. We should not blindly blame evang jorotom for instituting court case against the hierarchy of the church .I think in this Case jorotom is not fighting the pastor, he was fighting for his right as somebody who is more expose to the norms of the society. Long life pastor oschoffa, long life evangelist jorotom long life celestial church of Christ,!
