Let Us Come Boldly Unto The Throne Of Grace, That We May Obtain Mercy

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” Rom. 5:1

Has it ever occurred to you that no matter how much you try to please God, there is always this vacuum that needs to be filled. You feel you have not done enough, you feel you are not worthy. Well, you are right. Your conscience is right. You are not worthy. However, we are justified; we are declared righteous by faith in Jesus.

God gave his son as a sacrifice for our sins, he took the punishment we ought to have taken, he took our condemnation. God poured his wrath for our sins on him. Hence, our debt has been paid, WE HAVE PEACE with God. Many go about with guilt, self-condemnation, and low esteem; many even run away from God in an attempt to cover their sins, they are so eager to defend their faults and never to admit them. God needs you to COME “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” Heb. 4:16

Have you ever thought of talking to a father who you will want to open up all your secrets to. That’s what God wants; we keep struggling with our addictions and short comings until we understand God’s love. The prodigal son made a great move, He returned home. “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin” Heb. 4:15. God understands our struggle and want to help, hence he provides forgiveness and grace when we err. God is willing to help us all the way, he wants to make us better day by day, therefore don’t run away from God when you make mistake, run to God, don’t be swallowed up in guilt, “we are at peace with God” being at peace connotes being able to approach God without any sense of intimidation or guilt, not because we are perfect but because we have been justified by God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Let God’s love overcome that weakness, take your eyes off that addiction, stop struggling, turn to God; receive mercy and find Grace to help.
