Probably you’re one of the people who feel like they’ve wasted years of their lives because of poor choices. You think you have spent years in a relationship that was toxic, years with an addiction, years at a job where you weren’t fulfilled. You have to realize this; nothing you have been through is ever wasted, yes it is not. Your past experiences, good and bad have deposited something on the inside of you.
I used to kick myself in the gut telling myself how I wasted so much time and invested love, time and money on the wrong women I’ve been with. I even hated the man I became at one point in my life, I have lied, cheated, betrayed, taken advantage of and broken innocent hearts and done all sorts of things I am not proud of but God never gave up on me. The biggest thing I did was I realized the wrongs I was doing and decided to change.
Trust me if you’re such a person as I was before you need to CHANGE AND CHANGE BEGINS WITH YOU. Those challenges have sharpened you to help make you who you are today by God’s grace; you might have not been able to celebrate yourself because of things you did or still do now but God is telling you to stop now and turn to him, stop spending time brooding over what happened instead look for the best way out, return to God, let Him lead you and guide your steps now.
Read your bible and you will see that Moses killed, David killed, Samson committed fornication etc but God still used them and forgave them. God can still use you… God can still forgive you… God is saying I still love you. God knows you have been a prodigal son!
But the best thing is Learn from every situation, if we do learn from history, we would not just highlight what went wrong in the past but avoid repeating the same thing in another format.
Never under value who you are and what you’re capable of becoming. Excellence is the result of loving more than others think is necessary, dreaming more than others think is practical, risking more than others think is safe, and doing more than others think is possible. So often the truth evades you that while you continue living in a cage, thinking all is wasted; doors has been opened. All you need to do is walk out and embrace your freedom.
