Loans For Harvest Celebration: Right Or Wrong?

June 9, 2022 / Odunmbaku James / Saints & Sinners / Add Comment »

In CCC, some Shepherds Celebrate their harvests with a lot of funds for fun and merriment. Many will be wondering how they came about it in these hard times. One of those things running through other people will be like, ‘was the fund contributed or done by one person etc? But it has been discovered that some of them engage financial homes or money lenders to get a loan for the harvest and pay back from the proceeds of the Bazaar.

There are some parishes whose members are very few and their shepherds find it difficult to celebrate their harvest either juvenile or Adult because of the low members in their parish.

Many shepherds find a way in which they make their harvest a huge success to show to the next parish that they have arrived too.

With this many shepherds go outside to take loans either from banks or from friends just to make sure that the harvest is done. This is nothing but a sheer mirage.

The question here now is, is it right to take loans to fund harvest in Celestial Church of Christ?

While sampling the opinions of some members and shepherds over this, there were mixed reactions.

Some said it is bad because God didn’t tell us to borrow just to serve Him and fulfil our desires or towards anything concerning the house of God.

A shepherd said there’s nothing wrong with it as far as it’s for the development of the church and for the sake of the church.

There are a series of answers but an elder in the church said that building the church with loans or using loans for harvest isn’t accepted by God because at the end of the day the church will later be in debt which shouldn’t happen.

So now what do you think, is it right to take loans to build the church or to fund the harvest? Kindly share your opinion in the comment box below.
