It should be mentioned that some parishes are experiencing an alarming increase in several persons who choose to remain outside during collection and offers. Smaller parishes are where this act mainly occurs. Because I think that only dogs stay outdoors for collections and offerings. I’ve always questioned why members enjoy doing so.
There are parishes in this church that make it difficult for their parishioners to serve God. A church should be a place to serve God, whether the person has money to give or not. Shepherds should stop compelling their members to contribute to any activities in the church. Many do not truly have, but because they must serve their God, many prefer to excuse themselves during collections.
Some shepherds monitor how their members participate in collections with their substances. Some shepherds have turned themselves into what I don’t have a name to qualify them as by putting their eyes on how much a member gives, and such shepherds complain when a member gives a lesser amount than envisaged by the parish shepherd.
A church should be a place of worship, not a place to pull people away from serving God all in the name of offerings and contributions. According to the Biblical account, money is needed to take the gospel to the lost, but at the same time, money should not be the reason people stop coming to church or stop attending the church during offerings and contributions.
Our shepherds should take note of this.
