For hygiene reasons, some members of the church have come out again to speak against some of the dirty acts shepherds indulge in during christening in Celestial Church.

That the shepherds should stop touching the water, honey and salt with their hands while they are about to give the child the listed items during the naming of the child.

Some Celestians said their hands might be dirty during this process and this may cause great harm to the infancy in a way.

So, this group advises that the Celestial Church of Christ as a whole and her leadership should take a look at this issue very seriously, that it is not hygienic for the baby.

Instead of using hands, some suggested the use of a new small spoon to feed the baby with the water inside the basin and also the honey and salt except only the sugar that one edge should be placed in the baby’s mouth.

Before now, many Celestians had reacted but their voices were unable to be heard because there was no social media to convey their message but now with the advent of #cno and others, they believe the leaders of Celestial Church will take a look at their suggestion and do the needful.

May God bless Celestial Church.

  1. Celestial Ombudsman says:

    Should sugar even be given?
I noticed the author of this article mentioned the edge of the sugar placed in the baby’s mouth.
I totally disagree with those who do such and even worse pass it to the mother afterwards 🙆🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾

  2. LEVI M. YANSUNNU says:

It was because of that, the Founder of blessed memory insisted in his last moments on earth that shepherds should wash their hands before starting this, communion time likewise.
But today, lack of humility, WHO, TO REMIND THIS TO CCC WORLDWIDE SINCE EVERYONE IS ANCIENT AND KNOW ALL? (Job 8:8; Jeremiah 6:16)
a proverb: small wolves listen to old ones
    God bless HIS WORKS
