A friend, wale Olaleye posted this on his Facebook wall a few hours ago and it’s something we all need to give a deep thought about before we embark a trip to Celestial City, Imeko so as to avert any unforeseen circumstances.
“Have you noticed that people can no longer withdraw from the ATM or across the counter in practically all the banks? Don’t think it is momentary or a system crisis; there is serious cash crunch in the banks. A banker friend had confided in me that the situation is so bad that different branches of their bank had been running from pillar to post begging for cash in the last few days.
He said it will be worse tomorrow, Friday and is almost certain there will be bank/client crisis tomorrow in a majority of the branches. And guess what? Many of the ATMs, if not all, will be cashless this Xmas holiday. So, brace yourself up for the challenge. It is my kobo kobo advice.”
I hope we all have it at the back of our minds that this global economic crunch, most especially, the prevailing economic recession in Nigeria will be one of the hiccups that might diminish this year’s convocation but with God on our sides, all is well. Halleluiah!!!
