OmoCele, the popular gospel social media that focuses on celebrating Celestial Church members home and abroad is still the same OmoCele and has not changed name. Contrary to our report the last time, some of the runners of the popular brand actually created their own platform now known as Celestial Nation.
According to one of the runners of OmoCele, who shared the mission statement of the group to us said the core area of concentration is to inspire and create self-discoveries through spiritual, social media platform in love by fulfilling the founders’ oneness in spirit according to Hymn 773 (Kasowopo Kasowopo pelu ife mimo) while they continue with the vision of unifying Celestial members home and abroad through innovative and informative platform at their fingertips.
So, for those who have been thinking otherwise, the initial OmoCele was the brainchild of leader Bamidele Akintobi before the other OmoCele joined the team but since the two personalities are often having clash of interest, one has to leave for the other.
OmoCele media visionary leader, LDR Bamidele Akintobi working with a commercial Bank got spiritually inclined after producing magazine for a parish 20th anniversary in 2010, the motion to do widely celebrated magazine for the church came to my mind, just like Dele Momodu OVATION but lack of sponsor made him to push it aside.
Hear him, “In 2014, it struck me again and I decided to start with owing a blog or website like Linda Ikeji. A colleague at work who is a Muslim helped in constructing the first website but the guy was transferred from my branch and the site couldn’t launch. He was calling me “eyin OmoCele ” and that’s how OmoCele came up.
After which I met with an IT guru who is not a Celestial Church member but believed the idea of a unified platform to celebrate Celestial Church of Christ members could work. He started the job and launched OmoCele website in Feb 2015 alongside official page OmoCele twitter. We were searching for pictures of Celestial members from sites like mikeangelonews.com site, Genesis sites, Isaaco and Tejuosho parish media on FB to build our wall. We decided to start going to parishes to get pictures of event using our phones. So far we had challenges and surmounted it. We changed logo 2 times and at the third one launched last year October which was widely acceptable.
We bless God for how we started, where we are now, and where God is taking us.”
Another source told us how they parted ways. “Why they parted ways with the now Celestial Nation is because the latter was not always responsive when it comes to official issues, and being abroad, the team there have segregated things and make it looks like it’s theirs whereas the original concept started from us, the main OmoCele.
