Albert Einstein once said that, ‘there are only two ways to live your life; one is as though nothing is a miracle and the other is as though everything is a miracle’. If you are one of those who believe in the philosophy of this German-born theoretical physicist, you will then agree with me that, a mystery of life is not a problem to solve, but a reality to experience.
This life we all live in is complicated, every mind a kingdom of un-mapped mysteries. It’s just like a camera; we focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t go the way we want it, we can always take another shot- this should be how we view life.
In our church today, we have several millionaires, in fact, billionaires, some maintain a quiet lifestyle and don’t make noise about their wealth while some are lavish givers but it amazes me sometime when our church needs like N15m for a certain event and they ask each parish to pay N10,000 all they end up not raising that amount in a church of over 25 million congregants. I wonder what has happened to the giving-spirit of our members! Or is it that they have found our leaders to be untrustworthy?
When I experience sobriety concerning the state of the church, and view the mysteries of life and death, I discover that there is one mystery which the cross of Christ has revealed to us, and that is the infinite and absolute goodness of God. It’s indeed a mystery that we don’t share this same love amongst ourselves. Those of us who have and are stingy to do things towards the uplift of the church do not really understand the mysteries behind their wealth.
These people really do not have anything because if they understand life and can enjoy it, then they should understand an after-life event because when a man dies, his life goes away from source and death is going back to the source but death is another mystery of life. Let all the rest remain a mystery so long as the mystery of the cross of Christ gives us faith for all the rest.
I read from one of our members about the true mystery of life and I quite like his post, “Life doesn’t always introduce you to the people you WANT to meet. Sometimes, life puts you in touch with the people you NEED to meet to Help you, to Hurt you, to Guide you, to Leave you, to Love you, and to gradually strengthen you into the person you were meant to Become. Never feel sad about losing anything in life because whenever a tree loses a leaf, a new leaf grows in its place. May your faith never be crushed by the troubles of life. You will overcome every obstacle. God loves you!”
