In the early stage of his pastoral journey, if there was anything Papa Oshoffa used to place the church to this enviable heights we all are enjoying today aside Holy Spirit, it was his high sense of humility. His mission would have been derailed if he was not upright. This gift from above really helped him to weather the storms of life from those he loved and he trusted. Most especially those issue that confronted his ministry with authorities Republic of Benin here in Nigeria.
Like the usual saying that true humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking yourself less. Papa SBJ Oshoffa’s magic wand he used to scale through the hurdles of life as a clergy man was a powerful tool that made him to be absolutely dependent on the grace of God. He was not worried about face.
He was prepared to own a fault, a mistake, make an apology, or make restitution if he had wronged anyone. He was humble and noble. He was thinking less of himself, and more of others; this ultimately made him a happier person. He gave it away, and now he has it back, we can testify to this as the stool he left is being occupied by his first son, Rev. Pastor Mobiyina Oshoffa.
So if you claim to be a ‘child (ren)’ of Oshoffa, you have to let go, so you can get it back. You have to give so that you can receive. You let go of those who err you and forgive them. You let go of pride that may ruin you spiritual growth. You let go of arrogance, uncultured manners, adulterated doctrine, wizardry, theft, covetousness, fornication, adultery, worldly acquisition without Holy Spirit, anointment without anointing to mention a few. Then you can now be welcome into this clanship of Oshoffa’s dynasty. Are you ready? Let’s know how!
