Praise Night: Ungodly Behavior Among Guests And Members During Harvest

According to the Biblical account, there is nothing God appreciates and loves more than praising Him all the time. It was well-stressed that if you offer God food and money, He won’t collect it, but the only thing He requires from us is just praising Him. Praising God is very powerful and is part of a way to conquer enemy territory.

It is so disheartening that the word praise night has been given another definition, and purpose and has turned into something else we cannot write home about in some CCC parishes across the world. Praise night in CCC has been hijacked by some unscrupulous elements, parading themselves as God’s servants. Praise night, which was supposed to be a way of bringing heaven down with our praises, has now turned into an ungodly means of action. Many guests and artists in some parishes are drunk before the commencement of the program at the church premises. Some evil shepherds recommend and buy these people alcohol as hospitality before the commencement of the event.

Even the choir, is mainly to praise sing, after which, at the end of a show, you will be amazed to find so many sachets of ogogoro all around the church premises.

Honestly, we have completely lost the purpose of harvest. No more prophecy has been delivered during harvest again, no intense thanks to God for protecting our lives again. All we have now is to show off and drink, eat, and dance.

To all CCC leaders, shepherds, and prophets, there is much serious work to be done in this fold to correct most of the anomalies in the church. Every act CCC members exhibit during harvest night must please God, because we are the Bible the world reads. We must endeavor to do what is right and Godly.

Alleluia

  1. Tayo Joseph Wolima says:

I am of the opinion that the ” Praise night” has lost it’s relevance and over stayed it’s usefulness in our harvests. I really don’t think that it should be attached to the harvest programmes again.
When it comes to the praise night, the mindset of both the guests and the organizers become canal, negating the essence of the harvest celebration.
It has become a forum where anything goes, sexual promiscuity, alcoholic consumption, unchristian like behaviour and all what’s not are carried out under the guise of darkness.
I will rather suggest that the praise night be removed from the harvest programmes and co-joined with the cantata to take place in the day time under a more spiritual setting.
This will make our harvest supplications more acceptable in the sight of God, allow harvest investors to reap the attached and expected heavenly rewards, instead of money well wasted.
