Rich Or Poor: Don’t Be Inferior

Many a times I see Christians that look down on themselves as a result of being poor or not measuring up to someone else’s standards. But I want to categorically tell you this today, God hates you looking down on yourself as a Christian because you are created in his image and likeness. Little wonder God almighty told the children of Israel in the book of Deuteronomy 20:1-4, “When you go out to war against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

And when you draw near to the battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the people and shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them, for the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.”

Therefore, why do you still have to look inferior. Something happened in the book of Numbers chapter 13,when Moses sent spies to Canaan. Numbers 13:17-19. But then when they brought back report to Moses, the spies gave a terrible, evil and inferiority reports that the people are too strong and powerful and that they will not be able to go up against the people. They equally said that it is a land that eats up its inhabitants. Numbers 13:26-33. Alas!, God really hates Christians that are faint at heart.  As a result of this God proclaimed that only Caleb and Joshua shall come into the land of Canaan and every adults numbering six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty died in the wilderness and could not make it to the promised land as a result of murmuring to God and looking down on themselves.

Job 12:3 says “But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?” Brethren in the lord, God always want you  has Christians to always believe that he is more than able to support you  and you should stop looking down on yourself. God almighty never calls us what others see in us but God calls us according to what he see in us. When Jesus first met Peter, his real name is Simon which means  meek which literally means something that can break anytime, shaky but Jesus saw in Peter a stone therefore, He changed his name to Peter which means rock.God wants you to be strong in him alone and stop been inferior.

In the book of Judges 6:12,the angel of the lord called Gideon mighty warrior. Gideon thought maybe the angel was talking to another person. God had to establish himself to Gideon by making only 300 men to defeat the Medianites. When you have God excuses are not allowed in your live, be brave.

The only thing that can delete inferiority away from our Christian live is H-O-L-Y-S-P-I-R-I-T. When the holy spirit is in you, you are more than a conqueror, fear disappear and faith in God comes in. Stop believing what others are saying about you and always ask the holy spirit to teach you to be the best in all your endeavors. Remember God hates Christians that are faint at heart. Celestial hymn 537 says:

1 . fear not in arms of the lord Jesus, Nothing exists to be feared, The fire that burns cannot come near thee, Devil’s uprising are subdued.

2 . I cling unto His Crucifix, Everything I count as vain, Fear not my soul I assure thee, There is joy in blood of Jesus.

3. I will never forsake Thee Lord, Jesus my Redeemer, It is in thee my salvation lies, Thou alone can exalt me.

4. Let Celestial be full of joy, For the bridegroom lives within you, Joy is yours so keep rejoicing, Crown of glory is reserved for you.

Brethren in the Lord, trust God today completely and stop looking down on yourself, the holy spirit is there for you always to teach and uplift you above whatever adversity that might confront you.

Remain exalted in the Lord.
