The Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born (A Must Read)

A sermon recently delivered by the Abuja based Pentecostal pastor, Paul Idoko Eneche, a Nigerian doctor and a minister who is the founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, really got me thinking, the aspect that hit me the most is the one relating to the arrogance some prophets or ministers arrogate to themselves.

Now in my church, CCC, we have a lot of people blessed with special anointing of God but when people start besieging their parishes and praise-singing them, the anointing of God leaves and the character becomes empty. Many of us don’t know that, what we think we carry is far gone; it’s only the LULI of the church that is left working with us.

The Bible says, “What have you that you have not received? And if you have received it, why do you behave as if you give it to yourself?” (1Corithians 4:7) This is what is limiting people.

“Get this: if it is the apostolic anointing you have, there are more apostles that have gone before and beyond you. Ayi Kwei Armah wrote a book titled The Beautiful Ones are not Yet Born. In case you think you are beautiful, you have not seen beautiful people yet. In case you say you are anointed, you have not seen anointing yet. In case you say you are called, you have not seen calling yet, so calm down.

Imagine a young boy of twenty two or twenty three years of age who calls himself an apostle or prophet. He is running and elderly people are running after him. Imagine! Your father is calling you papa and you are not afraid? A person who can give birth to you calls you papa and you agree? And you say, “Yes, how are you?”

That person has no future. He is a short distance runner. He is not a marathon runner. Marathon runners do not behave like that. This is one thing that destroys the destinies of many pastors and children of God. They are too proud…

God needs to chisel something out of your life! Say to Him today:

Lord, is there anything in my life that makes me unusable? Anything You need to chisel? Go ahead and chisel it out.”

May God bless His church. Amen!

Very well said, igberaga lo n siwaju iparun. Most ministers that has this arrogant attitudes I believe are the ones that went to school of theology and after graduating start running a church. If God has called you to minister or gives you a vision, I think the best thing to do after attending a theology school is to serve and graduate as a minister in training under an anointed man of God or serve under a ministry for at least 2yrs to 4yrs. This will help to totally groom you for the mission ahead, in this school you are taught apart from other things tolerance, humility and patience. ‘Won ma test e saaa ni’
