Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you (Malachi 3:8-9)
Despite economic crisis, majority of believers still fulfill that obligation of paying their tithes because they see it as God’s instruction to mankind. However some church workers/officials that are meant to put the tithing income in order see this as opportunity of stealing from God “Hmmm, I pity the curse on your generation”
Who are the big rats in the church?
Those people who steals from any income of the church be it, Tithe, Offering, Seeds, Harvest Money etc…
Robbing God is one of the deadliest acts that destroys human spiritual treasures easily. At the point of doing it, you might be shinning for a while but the end justifies the means.
When I was younger, I know a man who duped a church back in the days, he used the money to build a house, bought cars, settled his family etc.
The Shepherd of the church uttered a statement saying “let him go and see if a man can rob God and be successful”.
After five years of his enjoyment galore, the man was diagnosed with a sickness that took all he hath worked for including the one stolen from God, in fact, he lost one of his sons before he later died dramatically.
You can’t rob God and go free, Ko possible!
Secondly, those who don’t pay at all!
Tithing is always a difficult topic to discuss. And really, the lack of tithing comes down to two simple principles: we worry about not having enough and lacking faith in God’s word. For those who are not familiar with tithing, throughout the Old Testament, God made it clear that we are to give one-tenth (10%) of our earnings (gross income) to the church.
Now to nonbelievers, this principle sounds absurd! Often I hear, “You give how much to your church a year?! That’s crazy!”
Receive the grace now to do the right things in the presence of the Lord (Amen).
