The Truth Of Our Worship, The Identity Of Our Church

March 16, 2017 / Alonge Michael / Code Of Conduct / 2 Comments »

As expected of us, we should know and understand the distinction of our faith, the truth of our worship and identity of our church. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. II Timothy 2:15 NKJV.

The Celestial Church of Christ is the exact copy of the only church in heaven ( Awa ni Ijo Mimo loke orun, Ijo Mimo mbe Hymn 280 stanza 3), all our ordinances, practices, doctrines, tenets making up the church liturgy are heavenly certified, by that ; our mode of dressing, colours given to CCC and their symbolic meanings are also included.

In CCC, we are given 3 colours; white, blue and yellow from inception. 2 other colours were added;  purple and ash.

These 5 colours namely; White, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Ash.

The church is made up of clergy and laity, these colours are designed to fit into the 2 classes mentioned. Colour white, blue and yellow are for general use which includes the laity but colour purple and ash are exclusively reserved for the clergy.

The name given to our garment is SUTANA, every SUTANA should and must be of white colour.

SUTANA means the garment of glory and light.

White is a symbol of glory, light, holiness and purity, as such we are expected to bear this in mind not only when we are clothed in our sutana (white garment) but at every point because the moment we have been sanctified and baptised into Celestial Church of Christ, we are given a new garment that eyes cannot see, our sutana is the physical representation of our spiritual garment. We must painstakingly make efforts not to soil both garments of glory and light given to us.

Blue; is a symbolic colour for spiritual power, as we can see, other than colour White, Blue is the only other colour given to prophets, it’s not just for them (prophets) to be distinguished but it is a colour that oozes power in Celestial realm, on a closer observation, one will notice that the cross marked on the loin of every male member is colour Blue.

Yellow ; it’s a colour given for healing, regeneration / activity of spiritual and physical renewal. It is a known fact that as we live we die daily (1 Corinthians 15:31), Jehovah promised to satisfy us with long life and show us his salvation (Psalm 91:16) hence He clothed us in a regenerative garment to address problems associated with our human nature ; little wonder every anointed lady in CCC has a Yellow loin and cape as the case may be, the strands of the male’s loin is also Yellow except that of the sideman (adena).

Having discussed that of the general which is predominantly laity, we will consider the colours given to the clergy.

Purple: it’s a colour of royalty reserved only for men in kingly line, are priests are royals and as such they were honored with Purple regalia to confirm this ; But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; I Peter 2:9 NKJV.

Ash: a colour of separation of Levites / Clergy, it confirms their separation to the Lord, symbolises they are God’s property.

The line of prophets and prophetesses is different as they are restricted to the use of only White and Blue colours. The “EPASTORAL” (pastor)  is however not under any restriction whatsoever to be clothed in any specified garment. He is a spiritual authority and as such he can wear that which pleases the glory of God.
