We Celestians can do a lot of blessings work, go to the Wednesday seekers service, and still be in financial trouble, why? It is a sign that something is wrong.
According to the book of Deuteronomy 28:1–12, we are assured of God’s blessings if we diligently listened to the voice of the Lord and observed and did all that he commanded.
From chapter 14 down to the last chapter, it spells out curses for defaulters.
It’s invariably right to say now that disobedience to God’s word leads one to poverty.
Another thing is unpaid vows, pledges, and items bought in the church and also outside the church. The debtor is a slave to the creditor. Be mindful that “thy eyes behold your works in heaven.”
Who shall ascend to the Lord’s hills, says Psalm 24? Who shall stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart… Are your hands clean? Is your heart pure? Grudges, malice, and unnecessary hatred towards those who are prosperous also lead to poverty.
One should always be mindful of this. Don’t always blame your shepherd or prophet when things go wrong. Instead, pray and ask for God’s mercy in whatever way you have strayed, and let His Grace speak for you.
