There is no way a Christian can be shed away from conflict. Conflict can be caused by a church member, the church workers, the side men, and the side women, and sometimes by the parish shepherd or prophet. There are things to be done and things not to be done whenever there is conflict in your parish.
Permit me to ask this: do you usually make wise decisions? It is wise not to make rushed decisions. God, for instance, is never in a hurry. Easily, mistakes can be made, sometimes with grave consequences, when decisions are made without having a total picture.
In the Bible, David decided in a crisis under pressure. Events later proved his decision faulty. Even then, his final judgment, probably so as not to be seen to eat his words, was still not fair! again, because it was made in a hurry. The more facts you have, the better your decision-making will be.
Another scenario also played out in the Bible when there was a conflict in the early church over the issue of circumcision. Some leaders were sent to Jerusalem to deliberate with headquarters over the issue. After extensive discussions, weighing the details of the matter, considering the Scriptures, and giving all sides a fair hearing, the right decision was reached, and this was then communicated to the Gentile Christians. It was later that the details brought joy to the recipients.
Dear reader, do not make a decision when you are extremely angry or when you are extremely happy, because you could make a wrong decision at that particular time. It is wise not to make rushed decisions.
