And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” (Acts 3:4-6 NKJV)
What is your expectation whenever you go to worship God? Is it good, bad, passive, high, low or negative? Do you know that many come to church to just look, follow others, meet another fellow or just to be counted among? Judge for yourself what should it be?
Interestingly, the God we worship is a mysterious God, one that you can do whatever He pleases at anytime, moment or period. There is nothing too big to do for anyone, for every reason and for no reason, especially those who seek, love and worship Him.
That lame man mentioned above was not expecting miracle but just alms, yet mysteriously he got what he thought not of. Beloved, don’t even limit your expectation from God, He can do exceedingly above what we think or ask (Eph.3:20). Expect some mysterious wonders from Him today as you go to worship and surely the great God that commissioned this devotion will surprise you in Jesus name.
