With God, You Have Everything- By Abosede Olanigan

I believe in the God that I serve and know how powerful His name is (Jehovah). Who is that human being that is putting fear in you?  You mustn’t fear man but fear God greatly. The Bible says, “Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! (Psalm 34:9 ESV).

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ please do not let anybody or anything stop you from having a close relationship with the Almighty God.  The best way to do this is by being holy and praying regularly as suggested in the Book of 1st Thessalonians 5:17 that we should “Pray without ceasing”.  The Bible also advised us to praise and exalt His Holy name.

Remember that the closer you are with Christ the more the Satan will try to put you through tribulation but do not be scared.  “Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you)” (Isaiah 43:5 ESV).  The Bible says that “We can do anything through Jesus Christ who strengthens us, greater is He in us than he that is in the world. After all He drew us up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set our feet upon a rock, making our steps secure (Psalm 40:2 ESV).

Let us have the fear of God in everything that we do so that we can have a good life. Life itself is not about being rich or educated but is about showing humility, being God fearing and touching the lives of other people around you positively.  Do not feel proud when God blesses you as no one knows tomorrow and always remember where you are coming from.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, please let us be contented with what we have, no matter how small it may be.  Let us learn from Apostle Paul what he said in the Book of Philippians 4:11-13, that, “Now that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low and I know how to abound in any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.  I can do all things through him who strengthen me”.

You may be thinking that you have not got much, but many people would love to be in your shoes.  Let us appreciate God and be thankful to Him for what we have and by so doing you will end up having more.  If you concentrate on what you do not have, you will never have enough.  Let us stop comparing ourselves or competing with other people in terms of wealth and you will feel much better about yourself.  May God grant us the heart of contentment.
