Five years after the death of Yeye Oge Oluwafunmilayo Kayode Olowu, ber daughter, Afolabi Opeoluwa Adebimpe signed out from the Lagos State University-LASU today, Tuesday, 24th of May, 2022.
It is no doubt, a very hard journey to embark upon for the beautiful lady but the Accounting graduate after bagging NCE in Economics and Mathematics said, the journey was a smooth one with God on her side.
The always cheerful Opeoluwa Adebimpe whose mother’s picture came to remembrance as it adorns her DP with a message, “Always Missing You Mum” said the spirit of her late mum never left her for once.
Little wonder she displays on her WhatsApp status, “Adebimpe you did it, I’m proud of you baby girl…Thanks for making mum proud where she is.”
When #cno asked about how the journey was, the highly intelligent and God-fearing lady responded, “The journey was smooth all thanks to God. I had to opt in to be working at a POS Shop to settle expenses because I am someone that never liked to stress others for my problems.”
And for what likely CPGA she may be graduating with, “I really wish to graduate with a First Class and I’m hopping on the best with this last semester results. As of last semester, my GPA out of 5 points was 4.45. There were times I missed out on tests because I had to be at the shop to raise funds for my studies. But it has all ended today, the rest of the journey is left in God’s hands and I am confident that Jehovah will perfect the rest. Amen!”
Opeyemi was known in her department as an ‘efico’ the reason is that while others would score 2/5 in a Further Maths test, Opeyemi would score all, 5/5.
Her secret? “well, I have always loved calculations right from primary level till now. I would have opted in for a degree in Mathematics but it wasn’t possible because I was put in Commercial class during my senior secondary level.”
From all of us at #cno, we say Congratulations to you girl, continue to prosper in all you do. Amen!!!
